If you are a registered healthcare professional, consider making the move to NZ. Right now, healthcare professionals are in high demand as most regions search for skilled staff.
Immigration New Zealand has stated that around 400 new specialists will be needed across the three years leading to 2021, and 25,000 nurses are required by 2030.
Around 40 healthcare occupations can currently be found on the NZ Skilled Shortage List – giving overseas professionals an increasingly better shot at making the move.
Adverts for medical vacancies are increasingly on the up, with roles in the nursing sector taking up a third of all healthcare jobs. Though areas of rural New Zealand remain in constant need of healthcare professionals, the shortage doesn’t end there – the bigger cities also have gaps in their workforce.
Wellington is on the lookout for Psychologists and Counsellors, and in Auckland, Aged Care Workers, Anesthetists, Physiotherapists, and Consultants are in hot demand.
