Meet Lyn

A Mental health Nurse from Scotland. She’s been living and working in Rotorua for 18 months now and just loves her new life in NZ.

Lyn has set herself up in a place just a short distance from Lakes Hospital and with the significant increases in nursing salaries in NZ in the last 12 months has never felt better off. She bought herself a car, travelled extensively around NZ, holidayed in Tahiti and booked a trip to the Cook Islands next year! Her parents have already visited and she is taking a trip back home next year.

Her dog, Dada, loves walking on the nearby beaches, in the Redwoods and around the many spectacular lakes.

Lyn shared that Kiwis have a different mentality to getting out and enjoying life, “everything is so much more accessible and people embrace the outdoor lifestyle”.

If you are planning to relocate, she recommends allowing about 6 months to get set up before you can truly relax into your new lifestyle.

Success story from Lyn by Working In Health
